Three: The Achiever
Threes are often referred to as The Performer,' motivated by a need to feel important. They are enthusiastic, trustworthy, and successful. Threes are very conscious of their image, constantly trying to put out their best face and make excellent first impressions. They are highly competitive and also have a rather realistic viewpoint on life. They set targets and achieve them. They always pair their self-worth with the appreciation of a job well done.
Fulfilled and inspired, the Achiever achieves tasks to add personal accomplishments. They are flexible, energetic, and willing to take the extra mile to turn their aspirations into truth.
Action Pattern: Threes concentrate on the job at hand and are persistent in working towards their objectives. Adaptive Three is also referred to as "chameleon" because they change their character and adapt their position, attitude, communication, and performance to the individuals they are impressing. The rivalry of the Three will be at the forefront of work and leisure.
Thinking pattern: Threes are likely to be very good at portraying accidents and setbacks as "learning opportunities," helping them to move rapidly on from these setbacks instead of focusing on them and dwelling over them. They find it convenient to link to evidence that supports their perspective, while other details will fade away easily. As an objectively calculated person, the Three's mental energy focuses on their objectives and what it requires to accomplish them.
Feeling pattern: Threes are excellent at separating their thoughts in order to avoid feelings from getting in the way of success. They tend to set apart emotions and rarely have time for self-reflection or to communicate about emotions, particularly feelings of anxiety, depression, and fear. Although sad and anxious emotions are seen in the Three, they find it easier to communicate with frustration and rage. A lot of the Threesâ feeling center is going to concentrate on how other people respond to them. Their confidence is expressed externally, but the inside of Threes may seem more distrustful than their optimistic conduct indicated toward others. The projection of confidence is essential to Threes, who want to look confident and who want to hide feelings that could undermine this picture.
Focus areas: status, appearance, performance.
Basic objective: to be extremely successful, accomplished, and useful.
Basic Fear: To lose respect and to become irrelevant in the eyes of others.
Healthy behaviors: excellent multitaskers; ambitious; problem-solving; committed to self-awareness and self-improvement; self-disciplined; trustworthy and productive worker; convincing and eloquent; entrepreneurial mindset; target setting; self-confident and charismatic.
Unhealthy behaviors: susceptible to physical exhaustion; inability to accept errors; self-obsession; fostering a curated/filtered view of their lives; susceptible to "backstabbing" and other "cutthroat" strategies to come out ahead; narcissism; continually bragging about themselves; disconnecting and burning bridges easily.
Stress & Security: Threes tend to lean towards the Nines' unhealthy behaviors when stressed. They adopt the healthy behaviors of the Sixes when they feel secure.
